The Gillespies in 1959

Dick and Nancy Gillespie of The Villages, Fla., celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family dinner at the Sea Trail Gardens in Sunset Beach, N.C.

Dick Gillespie married the former Nancy Oczypok on Aug. 15, 1959, at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Carnegie.

They have three children, Gregory Gillespie of Holly Springs, N.C., Brian Gillespie of Allison Park and Lauran Archer of Butler.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Gillespie is retired from Armco.Mrs. Gillespie is retired from Butler County Community College, where she worked at the children's creative learning center.The Gillespies attend the New Covenant United Methodist Church of The Villages.
