Gloria and Fred Kocher

Fred and Gloria Kocher of Avon, Ind., formerly of Mars, will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a family picnic at their weekend home on Raccoon Lake near Rockville, Ind.

The couple was married Aug. 2, 1969, at Immanuel Church of Christ in East St. Louis, Ill.

They have three children, Andrea Kocher of Houston, Deanna Schoeff of Plainfield, Ind., and Gina Kocher of Alexandria, Va. They also have two grandchildren.

Kocher retired from US Air in Pittsburgh in 1993 after nearly 25 years of service. He later worked for Rolls-Royce North America and AAR Corp. in Indianapolis, Ind.

Mrs. Kocher has worked more than 30 years as a certified registered nurse anesthetist and is currently working at Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville, Ind.
