The Coopers in 1959

Dick and Dixie Cooper of Harrisburg recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Cooper married the former Dixie Rieder on July 11, 1959, at Karns City Methodist Church in Karns City.

They have two sons, Richard and Shawn.

They also have two granddaughters and two stepgrandsons.

After the total plant closure of Pullman, Cooper was involved in the trade show industry in Harrisburg. He was a part-owner of two trade show companies and participated in the industry along the east coast. He is retired from the Pennsylvania House of representatives in Harrisburg.

Mrs. Cooper is retired from First Health Services in Harrisburg.
