12:15 p.m. Monday — Rachel Milasincic, 21, of Butler was charged with retail theft for allegedly shoplifting merchandise at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.11:34 a.m. Monday — A garbage truck driven by Jerry Vinroe, 47, of Butler struck the rear of a car on Route 356 at Pointe Plaza. The collision pushed the car, driven by Laura Daily, 61, of Butler, into another car driven by Joanne Hartle, 53, of Butler.Daily and two passengers in her car, Mary Fisher, 68, of Butler and Jean Baker, 35, of Sidney, Neb., were shaken up but refused immediate medical treatment.

4:30 a.m. June 3 — A woman reported that someone possibly tried to break into her Deer Meadow Lane home. She said a noise awakened her and prompted her dog to bark. The woman, who police did not identify, said she then heard someone attempting to open the rear door.She said she grabbed a gun and looked outside, but saw no one. Officers searched but they also found no one in the area.June 3 — Police filed drunken driving charges against Jason Toth, 35, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, stemming from a May 14 traffic stop on Overbrook Road. Toth is charged with driving under the influence, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

1:45 a.m. today — Jeremy Taylor, 25, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Taggert Road in West Liberty.12:30 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown male thief stole a sign at the Last Laff Bar on Main Street in Chicora.4:30 p.m. Monday — April Kratochvila, 26, of Butler was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving struck an embankment and rolled after sliding off Brewer Road in Clinton Township. Kratochvila, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions and a driving with worn tires.Saturday — Someone between Thursday and Saturday stole a saddle from a stable at Misty Hill Farms on Reibold Road in Forward Township.

Thursday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported that Butcherine's Distributor in Boyers and the Paul W. Wood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7840 in Cherry Valley, both in Butler County, were cited for permitting gambling on premises in April.
