4:32 p.m. Saturday — An 8-year-old boy was hurt when a car struck the bike he was riding at McClain Avenue and Eola Street.Scott Caccamo of Butler, who was wearing a bicycle helmet, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. The boy admitted he rode into the intersection without looking.Jennifer Perkins, 31, of Butler, who was driving the car, said she was unable to stop in time. A witness, meanwhile, told police that Perkins could not have avoided the crash.12:03 p.m. Saturday — A young mother faces a child endangerment charge for allegedly leaving her 2-year-old son unattended at a Greenview Drive apartment building.A neighbor called authorities to report seeing the toddler running around without any clothes and without parental supervision. The caller and other residents tried looking for the child's parent or parents for about 20 minutes before police were called.Police located the apartment of the child's mother, Cassie Marie Lunn, 22, and found an open sliding glass door. Lunn said she had fallen asleep and her son must have opened the door on his own.Asked how long she was sleeping, according to a police report, she said about 45 minutes. In addition to charging Lunn, the case was forwarded to the county's Children and Youth Services agency.Saturday — Someone between 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday broke out the window of a car on Pillow Street and stole a Kenwood stereo/compact disc player from the dashboard. An iPod adapter also was taken. The stolen property is valued at $160; damage to the car was estimated at $400.10:17 a.m. Friday — Cars driven by Blair Patterson, 19, of Jefferson Township and Barbara Forman, 81, of Center Township collided at Jefferson and Second streets.Friday — An iPod and speakers, 119-piece tool set and cell phone charger were stolen from a vehicle on Second Avenue. The vehicle break-in occurred between Tuesday and Friday.

8 p.m. Saturday — An unidentified vehicle struck a light pole and a landscaping rock at the driveway of a home on Protzman Road in Summit Township. The unknown driver did not stop after the crash near Mitchell Hill Road.3:30 p.m. Saturday — A 17-year-old Pittsburgh girl, who police did not identify, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting jewelry worth about $360 at Boscov's in the Clearview Mall, Center Township. The teen is charged in juvenile court with retail theft.Saturday — Someone between November and Sunday broke into a T-shirt stand at the Cooper Lake Campground in Worth Township and stole dye used to make shirts. A New Hampshire business owns the property.11:01 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Sara Toth, 20, of Perryopolis, Fayette County, struck an embankment and became airborne before sideswiping a bridge pier on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Toth, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at UPMC Passavant Cranberry. She was cited for careless driving.4:44 p.m. Thursday — Laura Bacurin, 40, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on I-79 in Jackson Township.3:33 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Donald T. Croyle, 42, of Kennerdell, Venango County, struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle at Route 138 and State Street in West Sunbury. Marlene Chojnacki, 54, of Butler, who was driving the SUV, suffered a minor injury. Croyle was cited for following closely to another vehicle.Thursday — An unknown thief broke into two unlocked vehicles on Portman Road in Summit Township and stole a Garman global positioning system and a diamond ring. The property, valued at $450, was taken between midnight and 10 a.m.8:40 a.m. May 11 — Two people were hurt when a car driven by Sheree Bondi, 30, of New Castle hit an embankment and rolled onto its roof on I-79 in Lancaster Township.Bondi and Sean Nixon, 16, of New Castle, a passenger, both wearing seat belts, were treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry for minor injuries. Bondi was cited for driving too fast for conditions and driving with a suspended license.

9:30 p.m. Saturday — An unknown shoplifter made off with a flat-screen television from the Wal-Mart at West Main Street Extension in Pine Township.11:56 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Allen L. Ferry, 45, of Volant crashed into a mail box, traffic sign and utility pole along Irishtown Road near Chestnut Ridge Road in Pine Township. Ferry told police that he lost control of the car when he tried to hit a spider inside the vehicle. He was cited for careless driving.Saturday — Several power lawn tools valued at $480 were stolen from a garage in a burglary between Wednesday and Saturday at a home on Route 173 about one-half mile north of Gasper Road in Pine Township. Stolen was an Echo weed trimmer, two Featherlite weed eaters and two Featherlite weed eater hand blowers.9:20 p.m. Friday — A Grove City man was seriously injured when the pickup truck he was driving crashed and hit a tree on Route 208 in Pine Township.John W. Owens III, 48, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with a "major injury," a police report said. His condition was not known this morning.The crash occurred after Owens lost control of his pickup westbound on Route 208. The truck crashed through a guardrail and became airborne for about 60 feet before it hit the ground, flipped and struck a tree. Owens, who was wearing a seat belt, faces a ticket for careless driving.7 p.m. Friday — An unknown man stole more than $2,000 in clothing items at the Banana Republic store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. Police said the suspect, possibly Hispanic, is between 35 and 45 years old with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a white polo shirt, a dark, windbreaker-type jacket, blue jeans and sneakers.1:25 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Timothy W. Swanson, 22, of Grove City slid off Route 173 into a field in Wolf Creek Township and rolled over three times. The car landed on its roof in a yard.Swanson, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at the Grove City Medical Center. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Friday — A Zelienople woman reported that someone stole her black, 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXI from the Prime Outlets parking lot near the Nike store in Springfield Township. The car, valued at $6,000, was taken between 6 and 7:50 p.m.Wednesday — Someone stole $500 in a burglary Tuesday or Wednesday at a Route 19 home in Springfield Township.May 6 — Two unknown suspects, a white man and white woman, forced their way into a Carney Road home in Springfield Township and stole several unspecified items. The burglary occurred between 1:20 and 2:30 p.m. The suspects made off in a red pickup truck, possibly a Ford Ranger, which has silver or gray wheel well moldings. Anyone with information about the suspects or the pickup is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.
