The Butler freshman baseball team defeated Blackhawk, 12-2, recently.

Colin McKee, Zach Milligan and Matt Baranchak pitched and scattered three hits over seven innings. Tom Bruce hit a three-run triple and McKee and Zach Rader had two hits each.

The Butler junior high team defeated Pine-Richland 91-35 and Knoch 87-40 Tuesday night. Page Allen won the 100 meters in 13.7 seconds and the 200 in 28.6.Other winners for the Golden Tornado were Rachel Weyand in the mile (6:05), Rachel Konieczny in the 400 (1:06.9) and 800 (2:35), Alexis Swiergol in the 2-mile (13:31), Kennedy Evans in the long jump (12-5), Nincolina Nanni in the triple jump (25-7), Rebecca Arturo in the pole vault (6-0), Ava Bennetti in the shot put and discus (73-5).Butler hosts North Hills Tuesday.

Butler Junior High defeated Knoch 92.5-34.5 and Pine-Richland 91-36. Travis Reed won the discus with a 112-6 and shot put with a 40-4 while Jacob Alston won the high jump with a 5-6 and triple jump with a 32-9.Other overall winners for the Golden Tornado were Canan Roskovski with a 1:00 in the 400 meters, Bobby Vernick with a 2:23.3 in the 800 and Josh DiPippa with a 7-6 in the pole vault.Butler won the 400-meter relay and 1,600-relay as well.
