Evelyn C. Beighley, 88, of Winfield Drive, Grove City, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the Obrien Memorial Health Center in Maisury, Ohio.

Born June 25, 1920, in Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of Lee and Edna Morrison Cornelius.

She was a Methodist.

She worked at Slippery Rock High School for 11½ years, then retired from Cooper Energy after 31½ years.

She is survived by three brothers, Robert Cornelius of Texas, James Cornelius of Hermitage and Donald Cornelius of Florida; a sister, Florence Sillery of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Walter "Bud;" and a sister, Kathryn Martin.

<B>BEIGHLEY</B>— Private services for Evelyn C. Beighley, who died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, will be held Monday at the <B>Ficca Funeral Home</B>, 203 E. Pine St., Grove City. Burial will follow in the Slippery Rock Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Mercer County Blind Association.
