The Tornado Girls Volleyball Club had several teams competing this weekend at the Odyssey Tournament in Elizabeth.

The 16s team placed first and took home the gold on Saturday and the 15s placed second, taking home the silver on Sunday.

16s team members are Taylor McMillen, Meghan Studds, Steph Girdano, Katelyn Wetzel, Karly Burns, Ellie Burns, Alexis Krause, and Christina Farmer. They are coached by Jodi Burns.

The 15s team members are Gabby Carney, Ashley Grooms, Emily Eyth, Natalie Smith, Erin Pennington, Alyssa Fudoli, Mackenzie O'Donnell, and Tori Thrower. They are coached by Meghan Lucas.

The Butler junior high team ended its season last week by posting wins of 71-18 over Gateway and 95-6 over Plum.The Golden Tornado won their final 10 dual matches to end the season at 14-4.Individually in the two dual meets last week, Blake Caudill scored two pins at 90 pounds, Josh Boozel two at 95 and Timmy Fulks two at 210 pounds.Also winning twice for Butler were Ryan Hortsman at 75 pounds, Grant Ferrari at 105, Will Bortmas at 115, Zack Collins at 122, Doug DeFrancisis at 130, Jesse Spohn at 138, Ryan Hannon at 145, Carlos Sanchez at 185 and Matt Kenyon at 250.

The Karns City fifth-grade traveling team won the Dayton Tournament Saturday.Team members include Reese Barger, Dominick Callihan, Joseph Cogley, Caleb Garing, Holden Martin, Conrad Snyder, Austin Turner and Damion Young.
