Butler's sixth-grade girls basketball teams posted wins against Knoch and Avonworth recently.

The Golden Tornado Gold team defeated Knoch 40-8. Alyssa DiPippa scored 16 points, Shelby Campbell had seven and Lindsay Michael had six.

Butler's travel team defeated Avonworth. Megan Paul scored 11 points, Taylor Stobert eight and Alyson Burchette three.

Blake Caudill (90 pounds), Mason Kaufman (95), Patrick Lokhaiser (145), Dalton Covert (155) and Danny Cuffin (210) all recorded pins as the Butler junior high wrestling team defeated Hampton 59-34 Wednesday.Korey Caudill (85) and Zack Collins (115) earned major decisions, and Josh Boozel (100) won by decision for Butler, which also had three wins via forfeit.Butler will host the Junior High Duals Saturday at the intermediate high gymnasium.
