Douthett 60th anniversary

The Douthetts in 1948

Paul and Maxine Douthett of Warrendale celebrated 60 years of marriage with an open house Aug. 23 at their home.

Douthett married the former Maxine Rowan on Oct. 6, 1948, at the home of James Rowan in Wexford.

They have three children, Paula Latislaw of Van Nuys, Calif.; Karen Troutman of Edinboro and Jeffrey Douthett of Philadelphia.

They also have four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Douthett is retired from the Davey Tree Company where he worked as a supervisor for 43 years. He is the director of the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pine Township and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Mrs. Douthett was the secretary and treasurer for Marshall Township for 24 years. She was also a secretary for Pittsburgh Plate Glass and the Army Ordnance during World War II. She belongs to the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Butler County and Allegheny County historical societies.The Douthetts belong to the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, formerly the Warrendale United Presbyterian Church.
