Casey Dudek and Brianna Northcott were double individual winners at the Franklin 7th-8th Grade Girls Invitational on Thursday, setting a couple of records in the process.
Dudek set a meet record in winning the 800 (2:33.16) and 1,600 (5:37.12) while Northcott won the shot put (33-½) and set a school and meet record in the discus (93-10½).
Other first-place winners included Mackenzie Burkhardt in the triple jump (26-10¾) and Alyssa Waryanka in the long jump (13-9¾).
In the boys invitational, Connor Hogue won the triple jump (32-3½), Ryan Thompson the 800 (2:22.15), Aric Beachem the 400 (58.68), Davis Dimit the 110 hurdles (18.81) and the 1,600 relay of Paul Hemshrodt, Beachem, Ty Udy and Sam Furrh won with a time of 4:07.9.
Caleb Whitney placed second in the discus with a throw of 123-4½, but set a school record in the process.
