Michael Wint and Sebastian Moran scored three goals apiece to lead the Butler fifth and sixth-grade lacrosse team to a 14-2 victory over Sewickley Valley Saturday.

Jake Harrison added two goals while six other players had one goal each. Josh Jablonski earned the win in net for Butler (7-2), which won its sixth consecutive game.

Butler returns to action Saturday against Pittsburgh Youth Foundation at Butler Athletic Field.

The Northern Steel U-12 squad went 2-1 at the Northern Ohio Cup, defeating the Cleveland Hurricanes 2-0 and 1-0 over the Cleveland Blues before dropping a 3-1 decision to Richmond Hill Canada.Against the Hurricanes, Aubrey McCoy and Kalie Davis, both of Grove City, had one goal each while McCoy scored the lone goal against the Blues.Charlene Doerr had both shutouts in net for Northern Steel.

KC Flash U-14 Boys Division 3 defeated Laurel 8-0 Sunday behind a three-goal performance by Andrew Johnston.Caleb Garing added two goals and Anthony Easley, Adam Garing and Adam Whited also scored.
