Mary Rose Emanuele

Mary Rose Emanuele, 83, died at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday in Sunnyview Home after an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Grove City, she was the daughter of Rosina and Donato Emanuele.

She was a 1942 graduate of Grove City High School and enjoyed singing and scouting.

She, along with the late Esther Post and Robert Thorn, was instrumental in establishing the first youth center in Grove City.

She was a member of the Church of Beloved Disciple, Gove City, where she was active in the Sodality and choir for years.

She was employed at Cooper Bessemer, George Junior Republic and WEDA-FM radio station.

She is survived by her brother, Herman Emanuele and his wife, Jeanne, of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Emanuele and Leonarda Puntureri, and by a brother, Dominick.

<B>EMANUELE</B>— Friends of Mary Rose Emanuele, who died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Cunningham funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, with the Rev. Mark Hoffman.Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
