YOUTH TRACK

Carlos Sanchez won the 110-meter hurdles and the 400 dash as the Butler Junior High boys track and field team captured its own invitational for the third consecutive year.

Other first-place finishers for the Golden Tornado included Cody West (800 run), Alex Yonker (long jump), Mike McPherson (shot put), the 4x100 relay team (Evan Parke, Patrick Lockhaiser, Alex Yonker, Dakoda Collins) and the 4x400 relay team (Trey Neveux, Canan Roskovski and Carlos Sanchez).

Sanchez was named Track MVP, while McPherson took home Field MVP honors.

Butler athletes who also medaled by placing second through seventh follow.

3,200-meter relay: 2-Butler (Dylan Ahrens, Jordan Cratty, Adam Suter, Trey Neveux);

100-meter dash: 3-Dakoda Collins, 7-Alex Yonker;

400-meter dash: 7-Canan Roskovski;

800-meter run: 7-Adam Suter;

200-meter dash: 3-Carlos Sanchez, 4-Dakoda Collins

High jump: 2-Cody West;

Long jump: 7-Patrick Lockhaiser;

Triple jump: 4-Cody West;

Shot put: 3-Matt Cole;

Discus: 2-Mike McPherson, 3-Matt Cole;

Pole vault: 2-Tanner Wahler, 4-Mark Malecky
