Kenneth B. "Ken" Palmer, 78, of Hindman Road went home to be with the Lord at 9:40 p.m. Friday at the Sunnyview Home.

Born Feb. 19, 1930, in Butler, he was a son of Ralph and Otho Wonderly Palmer.

He was a graduate of Butler High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Palmer had worked at Armco and Pullman-Standard and retired in 1990 from Snyder's Associates in Kittanning as a foreman and heavy equipment operator.

He was an active member of the Christ Outreach Church.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Heichel Palmer, whom he married April 14, 1950; a son and his wife, the Rev. Ken and Vicki Palmer of Butler; four daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Edward Fink of Livingston, Texas, Dottie and Greg Perry of Valencia, Diane and David Migliorini of Butler and Lisa and Rick Sharp of Stephens City, Va.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Peggy and Dean Allison of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild, a great-grandchild, and a brother.

<B>PALMER</B> — Friends of Kenneth B. "Ken" Palmer, who died Friday, March 7, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with his son, the Rev. Ken Palmer, of Christ Outreach Church, officiating.
