Lynnette J. Rape, 71, of New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, died Feb. 27 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Aug. 7, 1936, in Casey, Iowa, she was the daughter of Walter L. and Marie A. Edson Shingler.

Mrs. Rape had been owner and operator of Lynnette's Hair Fashion in New Brighton. She had also been a private duty companion aide at Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community and was a member of the American Legion Post 512 Auxiliary.

She is survived by two brothers, L. Raymond Shingler and his wife, Glady, of Adamsville and John Shingler and his wife Sue of Planada, Calif.; a sister, Gladys Martin of Sebastian, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Rhoda Shingler of Rochester and June Shingler of Planada; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Rape, who died Aug. 27, 2003; a son, Carl E. Rape in 1960; two brothers, Walter and Ronald Shingler; a sister, Charlotte Ficocello; and a niece, Sandra Fausti.

<B>RAPE </B>— Memorial services for Lynnette J. Rape, who died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church of Lovi.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Lovi, Building Fund, 1001 Freedom Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Glenn-KildooFuneral Home</B>, Cranberry Township, and online condolences and directions are available at www.glennkildoofuneralhome.com.
