Michael E. Cassidy

Michael E. Cassidy, 73, of Butler, formerly of the North Side, died Saturday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 3, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Edward and Rita Cohan Cassidy.

He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Mars VFW Post 7505.

Mr. Cassidy was a true outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish.

After years of dedicated service, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine Jordan Cassidy; the loving father of Keith E. Cassidy and Denise (David) Fallecker, both of Middlesex Township; dear brother of James Cassidy of Clinton and Patricia Powers and Mary Kenny, both of Pittsburgh; and loving grandfather of Christopher, Jill and Daniel Cassidy and Michael, Richard and Hannah Fallecker.

<B>CASSIDY</B> — Friends of Michael E. Cassidy, who died Saturday, March 1, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, where a blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
