Anna L. Mortimer, 97, of the Lowrie House, formerly of South Trail and the Arbor Apartments, died at 6:10 p.m. Friday at the Lowrie House.

Born Jan. 1, 1911, in Bradys Bend, she was a daughter of Michael DeCorte and Lucy Wolcott.

Mrs. Mortimer was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She is survived by a son, Howard J. Mortimer of Cabot; a daughter, Mrs. Converse (Mildred) Branscome of New Castle; seven granddaughters, 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Francis Mortimer, who died Nov. 30, 1994; five sisters, and eight brothers.
