Richard A. Strauss
Richard A. Strauss, 76, a native of Pittsburgh and formerly of Los Angeles, died Monday.
Born Feb. 6, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Leopold and Aurelia Irene Burkes Strauss.
Mr. Strauss was a humanitarian who gave to so many. He loved to garden and to be surrounded by all of the beautiful wildlife. Above all, he was a loyal and giving man who enjoyed being in the company of his family, dear friends and children. He was quite a story teller and an avid Steelers fan. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He was the best friend for 40 years of James E. Grover of Middlesex Township, who survives, and the dear brother of Leo Strauss of West Deer Township, Donald Strauss of Allison Park, Rene Strauss Fadik of Ross Township and Paul Strauss of San Pedro, Calif., all of whom survive. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.

Strauss, who died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Richard Roman Catholic Church with the Rev Kenneth Oldenski, celebrant.Arrangements are being made by <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services,</B> Bakerstown.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O.
