Gordon

William R. "Bob" Gordon, 67, of Ellwood City died at 2:59 p.m. Saturday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Jan. 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Woodrow W. and Dorothy M. Sayre Gordon.

He was a 1958 graduate of Union High School and served in the Navy as an E-3 during the Vietnam Era from Sept. 4, 1958, to Sept. 3, 1964, with the 101 Fighter Squadron in Key West, Fla.

He was an electrician; and during his working career, he was employed at U.S. Steel, Gary, Ind.; Babcock & Wilcox, Beaver Falls; Shenango China, New Castle; and P.M.A.C., Beaver Falls; and retired in 1996 from Cooper Cameron in Grove City.

Mr. Gordon was a Presbyterian.

He enjoyed being at his camp in Kennerdell, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He was a member of VFW Post 7840, Hilliards; AmericanLegion Post 749, Wampum; the Hungarian Home; S.O.I. 608; the Saxons Club; the Eintracht Club, the S.O.I. and the CG's Club, all of New Castle; and the Johnson Club ofBessemer.

Surviving are his wife, Linda "Cricket" Yanssens Gordon, whom he married Oct. 1, 1993; two daughters, Lenora Gordon of California and Gina (Todd) Vogus of Edinburg, Lawrence County; a son, Brent Gordon of California; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Mozes Dickinson and her spouse, Steven Dickinson, of McKees Rocks; a brother, Thomas Gordon of Columbia Station, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Lisa and Leah Kozza of Edinburg.

<B>GORDON </B>— Friends of William R. "Bob" Gordon, who died on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the <B>Samuel Teolis Funeral Home</B>, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City, where services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday.Members of the Veterans' Honor Guard will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home to conduct full military rites.
