Paul E. Pierce, 70, of Butler died Thursday at his home.

Born Jan. 27, 1938, in Iselin, Indiana County, he was the son of Norman Paul and Mary Cecelia McConnell Pierce.

He had served in the National Guard.

Mr. Pierce had been a purchasing agent for Carl Strutz in Mars and retired in 2001 after 38 years. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Surviving are four sons, Thomas (Karen) Pierce of Butler, Leonard (Tina) Pierce of Slippery Rock and Scott (Mary) and Jeffrey (Laura) Pierce, all of Chicora; a daughter, Vicky (Robert) Pender of Butler; a sister, Marge (Richard) Henry of Kent, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Donna J. Stoker; who died Feb. 8, 2007; a brother, Raymond Pierce; and a sister, Dorothy Reed.

<B>PIERCE</B> — Friends of Paul E. Pierce, who died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Henry officiating.
