Carla Colton
Carla K. Colton, 79, of Butler, died peacefully at home Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026.
Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on April 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Carl Pearson and Alberta Riddle Pearson.
She was the beloved wife for 52 years of Grant A. “Pete” Colton Jr.; loving mother of Tim Candito (Jessica), Michelle Colton, Diana Housholder (Darren) and Grant A. “Pete” Colton III; sister of the late Janice Michaels, Cheryl Cordray, Lynn Flowers and Carl Pearson; and dear grandmother of Alexis, Cassandra, Chelsea, Matthew, Dorian, Damon, Devon, Grant IV, Zachary and Vivian. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Callie, Chase, Cheylynn, Camryn, Jemma, Molly, Zaeden, Ava, Grant V and Evelyn.
Carla enjoyed traveling, reading and especially golf; she was a member for over 20 years of Wildwood Golf Club, many years at Butler Country Club, and was active with the Women's Golf Association of Western Pennsylvania. She was the longtime owner of C&S Services, helping customers with mailings, leads and labeling.
Most of all, Carla loved being with her family and grandchildren, taking the kids everywhere, including the circus, Ice Capades, the zoo, museums and countless lunches and outings. She will be dearly missed.
COLTON — Family and friends of Carla K. Colton, who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, where a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m., with the Rev. H. William Dambach officiating.
