Scott Alan Woitas, 31, of Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, died Tuesday at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 18, 1976, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Thomas L. Woitas of Allegheny Township and Rita Picanzo Woitas of Natrona Heights.

He lived in Allegheny Township all his life. He attended the Kiski High School and was a plumber at Arnold Hardware and Lowes.

Mr. Woitas was a member of the Leechburg-Allegheny United Presbyterian Church.

An avid automotive enthusiast, he restored his Corvair and won many car shows.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Sean T. Woitas and his fiancée, Tina, of Allegheny Township, Brian Mehal of Tarentum and Jeremiah Mehal of Allegheny Township; his paternal grandparents, John and Margaret Woitas, with whom he made his home; three nephews, Chancellor Woitas, Jeremiah Mehal Jr. and Hunter Mehal; a niece, Tierney Woitas; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Theodore and Lucy Picanzo.

<B>WOITAS </B>— Friends of Scott Alan Woitas, who died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home</B>, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Leechburg-Allegheny United Presbyterian Church, 1900 Route 356, Leechburg, with the Rev. Lloyd Riggle officiating. All are to meet at the church. Burial will be at Brookland Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
