Ten Butler wrestlers tallied pins as the Golden Tornado junior high wrestling team won its first match of the season, 72-21 over Shaler recently.

Earning pins for Butler were Blake Caudill, Tyler McCue, Randy Kelley, Zach Collins, Cody Hartman, Dillon Weston, Dakoda Collins, Matt Pribis, Blaise Wheeler and Matt Kenyon.

Also winning their bouts were Zachary Reges, Jesse Spohn and Jordan Allen.

The team is now 8-0 on the year, coming off wins of 61-26 over Pine-Richland and 59-30 over North Hills.

Winning by pin against Pine-Richland were Steven Ross, Hartman, Collins. Carlos Sanchez, Allen and Wheeler.

Winning by pin against North Hills were Kelley, Reges, Weston, Sanchez, Allen and Wheeler.

The junior high team is coached by Don Geibel, Bob Hromack and Brandon Neff.
