Youth Soccer

The Northern Steel Select Soccer Club teams posted numerous victories over the weekend:

• The under-12 girls defeated the Strikers 1-0 and Northern Crew 2-0. Lauren Schillero scored two goals and Kyler Lum one.

The under-12 girls also defeated the Erie Admirals 6-0, as Aubrey McCoy scored three goals, Lum, Kalie Davis and Paige Clary adding one each.

• The under-14 boys defeated Three Rivers 7-0 and Mount Lebanon 5-0. Asa Equels scored three goals against 3 Rivers with Andrew Johnston, Dom Pecora, Jared Williams and James Winiesky adding one each. Evan McGarvey, Johnston, Kyle Terrill, Alex Slomer and Kory Wood scored against Mount Lebanon.

Stephen Rodgers and Winiesky scored goals in a 2-0 win over the Erie Admirals.

In other action:

• St. Mary's boys dropped a 2-1 decision to St. Alexis recently. Ricky Miller scored the lone goal and Shaun Hoffmann made numerous saves in goal.

• Seneca Valley's freshmen posted a 3-2 victory over Butler. Goal scorers were not provided.

• Butler's middle school girls team suffered a 1-0 loss to North Allegheny Black. Goalkeeper Fontaine Rittleman had 24 saves for Butler.
