Chad Lamont ran 60 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the first half, giving Penn Street a 12-8 victory over East Side last weekend in Butler Area Midget Football League play at Memorial Park.

Neither team scored in the second half.

Penn Street got on the board first on a 2-yard run by Keenan Barlow. East Side answered with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Tom Barnhart to Claude Clark. Clark added the conversion kick with 13 seconds left in the half.

South Butler 28, East Butler 6 — Alex Younker scored on a 66-yard run for East Butler before South Butler took control. Cody West scored on a 3-yard run, then caught a 25-yard scoring pass from Canan Roskovski. West then scored on a 61-yard punt return.West added conversion kicks after the last two touchdowns.West scored his fourth touchdown of the game on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.East Butler won the junior varsity game 19-12, as Jordan Edwards, Tyler Kaufman and Jake Harrison scored for the winners. Kort Stutz and Chris Smith scored for South Butler.

Center Township 32, Meridian 0 — Trevor Wideman scored on a 21-yard run and Zack Rader scored on a 20-yard jaunt. Rader also threw a 1-yard TD pass to Wideman.Rader added touchdown passes of seven yards to Wideman and 50 yards to Pat Lokhaiser. Lokhaiser also had a conversion kick.

Thursday's schedule — Center Township vs. Penn Street (JV), 5:30 p.m.; Center Township vs. Penn Street, 7 p.m.

Saturday's schedule — East Side vs. South Butler, 5:30 p.m.; East Butler vs. Meridian, 7 p.m.
