Benjamin A. Bowser Jr., 62, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Butler, went home to meet God on July 19 at the Carl T. Hayden Medical Center in Phoenix.

Born April 16, 1945, in Butler, he was the son of Benjamin Bowser Sr. and Mrs. Arthur (Ethel) Young, both deceased.

He was a 1963 graduate of Butler High School and went on to earn his bachelor of science degree at Arizona State University.

Ben proudly served his country in the Army from 1965-1968 and served time in Vietnam.

He valiantly accepted his paralysis and overcame many battles with many medical problems. He was an amazing testament of unconditional love. His faith in the Lord, and his devoted wife got him through many trials and tribulations.

On May 20, 1978, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Bates Bowser and has two sons, Benjamin and Schuyler, all of Phoenix. Also surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Carl (Patty) Butler and Mrs. Paul (Vicki) Semes, both of Butler, and Mrs. Terry (Kimberly) Hickey of Golden, Canada; a stepbrother, Robert W. Young of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews including, Michael Dunmyre and Nathan Semes, both of Butler.

<B>BOWSER </B>— A funeral service for Benjamin A. Bowser Jr., who died Thursday, July 19, 2007, is being planned in Phoenix. A memorial service in Butler will be announced later.Condolences may be sent to the family at herbalbowser@cox.net
