Barbara Colonello
Barbara Ann Colonello, 73, of Valencia, Middlesex Township, died peacefully Friday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Sept. 15, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara Pommersheim Jancse.
She grew up in Penn Township, where she attended Penn Township High School.
Mrs. Colonello was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Middlesex Township. She also belonged to the Penn Glade Lions Club and the Sons of Italy in Florida.
She was an avid Steelers fan and loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several card clubs.
She was the loving wife of Rocco "Pete" Colonello, whom she married on Sept. 23, 1950, and the beloved mother of Larry Colonello, and his wife, Laurel, of Mars; Eugene Colonello of Valencia; Vicki Sayti of Valencia; Catherine Lucas and her husband, James, of Mars; Mark Colonello, Joanne Tisdale and her husband, Eric, and Lucy Laslavic and her husband, Thomas, all of Valencia.
She was a wonderful grandmother to 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
She was also a sister of Joseph Jancse and his wife, Peggy, of Macon, Ga., and John Jancse and his friend, Naomi, of Grove City.
<B>COLONELLO — </B>Friends of Barbara Ann Colonello, who died Friday, July 27, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, Route 8, Middlesex Township with the Rev. Dan Maurer, pastor, officiating.
