Dennis L. Davis
Dennis L. Davis, 45, of Hilliards died Sunday at Alleg-heny General Hospital as the result of inju-ries in an accident while racing motorcycles.
Born Sept. 22, 1961, in Grove City, he was the son of Donald L. Davis and Nancy Somerfield Neal.
He was a 1979 graduate of Moniteau High School, where he excelled in all sports. He was hired as a junior varsity assistant football coach at Moniteau and also coached youth football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed racing motorcycles, bull riding, hunting and fishing.
He owned and operated Davis & Son Construction.
Surviving are his wife, Trisha R. Davis, whom he married Feb. 3, 1998; three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Angie) Voloch of Butler and Alexandria and Marley Guercio, both at home; two sons, Dennis L. "DJ" Davis Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of West Sunbury and Aiden Davis at home; three grandchildren, Dawson, Dylan and Taylor; his father, Donald Davis and his wife, Betty, of West Sunbury; his mother, Nancy Somerfield Neal of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Cindy) Duffel of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Donald "Pete" Davis and his wife, Glenda K., of Hilliards; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather.
<B>DAVIS </B>— Friends Dennis L. Davis, who died Sunday, July 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, West Sunbury. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Panther, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
