Mildred L. Smith
Mildred L. Smith, 83, of Smith Road, Harrisville, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday at her home.
Born in Harrisville, May 17, 1924, she was the daughter of Roy F. and Mary Ann Hockenberry Michael.
A 1943 graduate of Harrisville High School, she was a homemaker; and during World War II, she had worked at the Cooper-Bessemer in Grove City.
Mrs. Smith was a Protestant.
She was an avid bingo player.
Surviving are a son, Howard E. Smith and his wife, Sandra L., of Harrisville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, James Michael of Grove City and George Michael of Cortland, Ohio.
Her her husband, Walter J. Smith, whom she married April 11, 1944, died Jan. 22, 1990. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley A. Hedglin; a sister; and two brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home with the Rev. Stephanie Thompson, pastor of the Barkeyville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 267 Pittsburgh Road, Butler, PA 16002.
