Ronald D. Donaldson, 63, of Nursery Lane, Butler, died Wed-nesday at ACMH Hospital, Kittanning.

Born March 16, 1944, in Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Harry and Florence Collier Donaldson.

He was a 1962 graduate of Karns City High School and worked as an electrician for Armco Steel and A.K. Steel in Butler for 40 years until retiring July 28.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, and the American Legion Post 117 in Butler.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Julia G. Reott Donaldson, who he married Sept. 13, 1969. Also surviving are two sons, Vaugh C. Donaldson of York, S.C., and Travis J. Donaldson of Wheeling, W.Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Orin (Carol) Bache of Harrison City, Mrs. Don (Linn) Hershberger of Chicora, Mrs. Terry (Marsha) Self of South Carolina, and Mrs. George (Kim) Pakutz of Chicora.

He was preceded in death by a son, Shane H. Donaldson, who died Sept. 5, 1994.

<B>DONALDSON</B> — There will be no visitation for Ronald D.Donaldson, who died Wednesday, July 4, 2007.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. John McCloskey, OFM Cap., will officiate.Burial will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.Arrangements are by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>.
