Gertrude M. Rice Bennett Egley, 75, of Kittanning, formerly of Evans City, died Wed-nesday at UPMC Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born June 1, 1932, in Forward Township, she was the daughter of Walter and Martha Neel Rice.

Mrs. Egley retired from Bobbie Brooks in Butler and loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother and sisters.

She was an avid doll collector.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Egley whom she married June 30, 1974; a daughter, Diana L. Robinson of New Brighton; two sons, Randy and Sherry Bennett of Zelienople and Roger and Amy Bennett of Evans City; four grandchildren, Nicole and E.J. Jordan, Amber and Jason Cox, Tessa Robinson and Hailey Bennett; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Robinson and Maisie Jordan; three stepsons and a stepdaughter, Ralph Egley, Don and Linda Egley and Bob and Sue Egley and Sonja and Randy Brant, all of the Kittanning area; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Marge McCool of Renfrew and Maddie and Harry Shaffer of Evans City; a brother, Bill and Ann Rice of Evans City; and a dear friend, Patty Martin.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Clyde Bennett; a son-in-law, John "Jake" Robinson; a beloved grandson, Jason Robinson; and an infant brother, Walter Rice.

<B>EGLEY </B>— Friends of Gertrude M. Rice Bennett Egley, who died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Park, pastor of Westminster United Presbyterian Church, Evans City, officiating.
