11:55 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Bret Dumbaugh, 24, of Butler struck a parked SUV owned by Randy Graham of Butler on Second Street. Dumbaugh told police he fell asleep at the wheel leading to the accident.9:03 a.m. July 16 — A tractor-trailer driven by Jason Luckett, 36, of Ravenna, Ky., struck the rear of a pickup truck driven by Ronald Jones, 59, of Butler while it was stopped on Hansen Avenue to turn onto West New Castle Street.3:06 p.m. July 12 — A car driven by Dee Ann Cross, 43, of Butler struck a parked car owned by Lindsay Kleeman of Butler on Mitchell Avenue.7:41 p.m. July 10 — A bicycle ridden by Nicholas Johnson, 10, of Butler struck an SUV driven by John Eagal, 46, of Butler on First Street. Johnson received unspecified injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

Friday — Harry Hutchison, age unavailable, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck some mailboxes along South Duffy Road.

4:40 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Robert Pinson, 62, of Pittsburgh and an SUV driven by Michael Hanson, 53, of Zanesville, Ohio, collided on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. The impact sent the SUV into a guardrail. Pinson was treated at the scene by Harmony Ambulance for a back injury. No one else was injured. The occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts. A third vehicle ahead of the SUV abruptly slowed to shift lanes, causing the SUV to slow down and collide with Pinson's car, which was traveling behind and did not slow down.11:10 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Sarah Schattauer, age unavailable, of Butler traveled off the southbound lane of Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township before crossing back across the northbound lane and over an embankment into a tree. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Wednesday — Crystal Piper, 22, of Portersville reported her purse stolen from her work station at Adams Manufacturing in Muddy Creek Township, where it was later found in a bathroom with several unspecified items missing.Wednesday — Murdick's Auto Parts of Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township reported the theft of a 17-foot U-Haul moving truck that was rented on June 26 and never returned. The truck's license plate number is AB18269. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.10:45 p.m. July 14 — An ATV driven by Edward Rieger Jr., 39, of Evans City struck a deer on Little Creek Road in Connoquenessing Township. Rieger was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and other summary traffic violations.

12:10 a.m. Friday — Stephen Gifford, 47, of Canton, Mich., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 208 in Springfield Township.Thursday — Someone driving an ATV damaged Jason Karenbauer's property off Route 19 in Springfield Township between 5 p.m. July 9 and 9 a.m. July 26. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-662-6162.

4:30 a.m. Thursday — John A. Crawford, 26, of Worthington was charged with possession of marijuana after police found him passed out along Route 3017 in East Franklin Township. The drugs were found during a search of his clothing.Monday — Randy Pasty, 55, of East Brady reported someone scratched the paint on his Chevrolet pickup truck's door and tailgate while it was parked on Kittanning Hollow Road in Bradys Bend Township between 10 p.m. July 22 and 10 a.m. July 23.

3:38 p.m. July 22 — A motorcycle driven by Tina Congilio, 48, of Slippery Rock struck a dog on Route 956 in Washington Township, Lawrence County, and the bike fell on its side. The driver was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment of road rash. She was wearing eye protection but not a helmet.

Thursday — Liquor control police conducted an age compliance check at six businesses in the Saxonburg and Butler Township areas between 5 p.m. and midnight. Three businesses were found to be noncompliant with the state liquor control board by serving alcohol to underage individuals. The names of the businesses were not listed in the report.
