Barbara 'Kay' Kwalwasser

Barbara "Kay" Kalish Kwalwasser, 80, of Pittsburgh died Sunday.

She was a graduate of the Linden School, where many of her classmates remain long friends, and a 1947 alumna of the University of Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Kwalwasser was a popular physical education teacher at the Wightman School and later a substitute on the elementary school level.

She was the wife of loving husband, Robert T. Kwalwasser of Renfrew; mother of Wendy, Ted and Amy Kwalwasser; and mother-in-law, Chris Kjeldsen. Also surviving are four grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

<B>KWALWASSER</B> — At the request of Barbara "Kay" Kalish Kwalwasser, who died Sunday, June 24, 2007, there will be no service. She donated her body to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Science.Memorials may be made to the Lobl Children's Waiting Room, Juvenile/Family Court, 1620 Murray Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217; or to Alzheimer Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1950.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Anthony Musmanno Funeral Home</B>, McKees Rocks.
