Linda A. Bashaar

Linda A. Bashaar, 55, of Cranberry Township died Friday.

Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert and Nelrose (Diehl) Altmyer of Wexford.

She worked as an auditor in the bookkeeping department of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for more than 21 years.

Mrs. Bashaar was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland in McCandless Township, where she had taught Sunday school.

She was also a member of Elks Lodge 348 in Beaver Falls, the New Brighton Boat Club, the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club and the Polish Falcons in Beaver Falls.

She was an avid camper, a NASCAR fan and enjoyed boating.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Julie L. Clerici and her husband, Ryan, of Cranberry Township; a stepdaughter, Dawn L. Hartin and her husband, Kevin, of Florida; two sisters, Susan Coupens and her husband, Mark, of Tennessee, and Janet Stevens and her husband, Daniel, of Nevada; a companion, Terry Oliastro of Cranberry Township; and three step-grandchildren, Michael, Megan and Hannah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bashaar, who died Oct. 7, 2005.

<B>Bashaar — </B>Friends of Linda A. Bashaar, who died Friday, June 22, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave. in Cranberry Township. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland, 311 Cumberland Road in McCandless Township.
