Richard A. "Dick" Spencer, 72, of Centennial, Colo., formerly of Evans City, passed away June 13.

He was born April 26, 1935, to Helen and Howard F. Spencer.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Lane Spencer; children Mark, Brad and Leslie McConnon; and two grandsons. Also surviving are siblings, Barry, Lisanne Fyock and Carol Larkin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Van.

He graduated from Evans City High School in 1954. At Grove City College, he earned a degree in mechanical engineering.

Dick and Martha moved to Colorado; and Dick became an aeronautical engineer at Martin Marietta, later Lockheed Martin. He was involved in aerospace engineering and received multiple inventor awards for his contributions to aerospace engineering.

He was an Arapahoe County Master Gardener.

<B>Spencer</B> — A Celebration of Life Service for Richard A. "Dick" Spencer, who died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, was held Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Littleton, Colo.
