James V. Webb Sr.

James V. Webb Sr., 68, of Butler died at 4:25 a.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 10, 1939, in Butler, he was the son of Idris James and Margaret J. Blakley Webb of Butler.

He was a member of Grace Way Community Church and retried as a truck driver.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dice and loved to meet his friends at the Burger Hut II.

Mr. Webb was also a Marine veteran.

Surviving are his companion of 17 years, Kathy Landsperger of Butler; his mother; two daughters, Mrs. William (Tracy) McNeish of Butler and Loretta Enos of Butler; four stepdaughters, Mrs. James (Bonnie) McConnell of Slippery Rock, Connie Baker of Rochester, Tammy Edwards of Bruin and Michelle Rankin of Slippery Rock; three sons, James V. Webb Jr. of Butler, Gary Hartzell of West Sunbury and John Webb of West Sunbury; a stepson, William Landsperger of Columbia, Md.; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Darlene) Olson of Butler and Mrs. Keith (Kathy) Sibble of Butler; and three brothers, Gene and Richard Webb, both of Butler, and Larry Webb of McKeesport.

He was preceded in death by his father and two step-grandchildren.

<B>Webb — </B>Friends of James V. Webb, who died at 4:25 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>young funeral home</B> in Butler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. David West officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be performed by American Legion Post 778 and VFW Post 249.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
