Clarence T. Henricks, 89, of Mercer Road died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunnyview Home.

Born Oct. 4, 1917, in Center Township, he was the son of Ekmond T. Henricks and Loretta Heist.

Mr. Henricks was a self-employed farmer. He also had worked in sales for Pfizer and the NaChurs plant food company selling corn seed and liquid fertilizer.

He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he belonged to the Homebuilders Sunday School Class and formerly served on the church council. He was a former county committeeman of the Butler County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.

Surviving are two sons, Robert T. Henricks of Slippery Rock and Ronald P. Henricks of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Smith of Homer City; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Voland of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Thiele Henricks, who died July 7, 2006, and a brother.
