Robert LaVern Stiteler

Robert LaVern Stiteler, 57, of Portersville died Monday at his home after an illness.

Born Dec. 15, 1949, in New York, he was the son of the late Earl Stiteler and the late Lorraine Scarbrough.

He was a Protestant.

Mr. Stiteler served in the Army from 1967 to 1970, and he had been a mechanic at Vogel Disposal Service.

He loved classic cars and going to car shows.

Surviving are his wife, Wendy Harmon Stiteler; a daughter, Mrs. William (Michelle) Powel of Ellwood City; a son, Robert Stiteler Jr. of Ellwood City; and two grandchildren. He also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Sharon) Gaurrich of Prospect and Mrs. William (Jane) Skelley of Butler, and a brother, Mark Stiteler of Butler.

He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

<B>STITELER</B> — Friends of Robert LaVern Stiteler, who died Monday, June 18, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Allison, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
