Frey

Lois Dalton Frey, 85, of Cabot died Thursday at her home.

Born Dec. 4, 1921, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of Francis and Ruth Claire Bennett Dalton.

She was a 1st Lt. U.S. Army nurse during World War II at the 95th General Hospital in the European Theater, northern France and the Rhineland.

She received the American Victory Ribbon and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon.

Mrs. Frey worked as a registered nurse at Magee Women's Hospital and retired from the Aspinwall Veterans Affairs Medical Center after 29 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler, and she enjoyed needlework, solving word puzzles and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her two sons, Patrick Frey of Allison Park and Mark Frey of Cabot; four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Janet) Rimmel of Allison Park, Mrs. James (Bonnie) Frey of Harrisville, Cheryl Frey of Lyndora and Sandra Frey of Cabot; two brothers, Earl and Gene Dalton, both of Latrobe; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Frey; a daughter, Donna Elaschat; a sister, Dorothy McDonald; and two brothers, Clyde and Francis Dalton.

<B>FREY — </B>Friends of Lois Dalton Frey, who died Thursday, June 14, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Judd officiating.
