James W. Taylor

James Whitten Taylor, 63, of Shelton, Conn., formerly of Pittsburgh, died Monday.

He was the son of the late Bennie B. and Florence Whitten Taylor.

He grew up in Butler before going to the Milton Hershey School in Hershey and received a master's degree from Purdue University.

For 26 years, he worked for General Electric and recently worked for the Computer Science Corp.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shelton for years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie Lee O'Hara Taylor; a son, Jeffrey; and many other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by a son, James; a half-brother, James McHugh; his stepmother, Helen Taylor; two stepbrothers, Mickey and Bill Fox; and a stepsister, Helen Louise Wilson.

<B>TAYLOR</B> — A viewing and a memorial service for James Whitten Taylor, who died Monday, June 11, 2007, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Shelton.Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Shelton, 178 Leavenworth Road, Shelton, CT 06484.
