Sefton

James T. "Ted" Sefton, 75, of Saxonburg died Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 3, 1931, in Lar-dintown, Clinton Township, he was the son of Edward R. and Helen Harvey Sefton.

He spent 28 years as a bus driver for the Port Authority Transit of Pittsburgh and retired in 1993 with numerous safety awards. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family.

Mr. Sefton was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Armstrong Lodge 239 F&AM, the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and the Order of the Owls 1091 in Russelton.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Faust Campbell Sefton, whom he married June 1, 2002; two children, Nancy E. McCarren and her husband, Michael, of Butler, and Richard D. Sefton and his wife, Dora, of Saxonburg; five beloved grandchildren, Hilary, Dana and Van McCarren all of Butler, and Ed and Katie Sefton of Saxonburg; a brother, M. Dale Sefton of Cowansville and a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Ruth) Wilson of Saxonburg. Also surviving are six stepchildren, David Campbell of Saxonburg, Richard Campbell of Alaska, Sally Chajka of Butler, Kathryn Bach of New York, Rhonda Ryder of Colorado and Melissa Fitzpatrick of Florida; and Ron Sefton, a nephew whom he raised, of Spokane, Wash.

His first wife, Vivian V. Cook Sefton, died Dec. 7, 1998. A brother, Robert Sefton, also preceded him in death.

<B>SEFTON</B> — Friends of James T. "Ted" Sefton, who died Monday, June 11, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Saxonburg, with the Rev. Deborah Huffmyer officiating.
