Semashko

George Semashko, 87, of Sewickley, formerly of New York, N.Y., died April 3 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Vasily and Natalia Romanovich Semashko.

Mr. Semashko retired from International Paper in Clifton, N.J., where he had been a production manager.

He loved baseball and had been a baseball coach.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Ceipieski Semashko, whom he married Sept. 13, 1947; a son, Dr. Gregory Semashko and his wife, Dr. Maribeth Krzesinski, of Zelienople; a daughter, Dr. Denise Semashko and her husband, Armand Aguirre, of South West Ranches, Fla.; three grandchildren, Armand, Carolyn and Jennifer Aguirre; and a sister, Sophie Lake of Long Island, N.Y.

<B>SEMASHKO </B>— A memorial Mass for George Semashko, who died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 W.
