George Woleshin
George Woleshin, 76, of Franklin, N.C., died Nov. 27, 2006, at an Ashville hospital in North Carolina.
Born Feb. 19, 1930, in the Lyndora area, he was the son of Wasyl Woleshin and Rose Hluhanich Woleshin Cybock.
He had been a mechanic at Irrapino Brothers in Butler and at the Kascik National Bakery until he became old enough to join the Navy. He was stationed in different countries in Europe and in Greenland.
He then lived in Jacksonville, Fla., for a few years before moving to Franklin, N.C., where he worked at the Angel Hospital for many years before retiring. He also helped at an Amoco station in his spare time.
Surviving are three daughters, Debbie, Cathy and Jane, all of Jacksonville; a brother, Mike Woleshin and his wife, Agnes, of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Catherine) Donohoe of Oxnard, Calif., and Helen Woleshin of East Brady; and nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Pete (Cybock) Sebock; and a another brother, Harry Woleshin, who died April 29, 2007.
