1:33 a.m. Saturday — Kayla Messinger, 22, of Lyndora was arrested for driving under the influence on Pillow Street. Police also cited Messinger for speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road.Friday — Police arrested James Fulmer Jr., 34, of Center Township in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a girl. Charges were filed Thursday following an investigation by police and the Butler County Children and Youth Services agency.Officers obtained an arrest warrant and on Friday took the defendant into custody. Fulmer is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of aggravated indecent assault, eight counts of indecent assault, child endangerment and corruption of minors. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.Friday — Scott Lindsay, 22, of Butler was arrested for allegedly punching and biting his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at the Mifflin Apartments on New Castle Street. Lindsay was arraigned for simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.
2:28 a.m. Monday — Jason Blystone, 33, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Hansen Avenue and Pittsburgh Road. Police noted that he faces charges for a number of other traffic violations, including driving with a suspended license and without insurance.Monday — Police are warning residents of a possible phone scam in which an unknown caller, claiming to be an employee for a company or financial institution, asks individuals for their checking account numbers.A township resident, who police did not identify, received a suspicious call about 4 p.m. Monday; however, the resident did not comply with the request. Police remind residents not to give out any personal information to anyone over the telephone.5:28 p.m. Sunday — Matthew Adam Snyder, 26, of Brackenridge, Allegheny County, allegedly was caught attempting to steal scrap metal from train cars owned by the Bessemer &Lake Erie Railroad.Police said Snyder is charged with possessing instruments of crime, attempted theft and receiving stolen property, conspiracy, interfering with railroad facilities, trespass, driving without a license and driving with a suspended license.Zelienople Police5:18 a.m. May 27 — William Kuhns, 51, of New Brighton, Beaver County, struck a deer with his vehicle on Route 68 near the Main Street entrance to Harmony. Minor damage was reported to the vehicle.3:50 p.m. May 19 — A vehicle driven by Gary Ronald Bhame, 48, of Fombell, Beaver County, collided with a vehicle driven by Sarah Weaver, 30, of Parker who was attempting to turn onto Perry Way. No injuries were reported and neither vehicle was towed.1:46 a.m. May 18 — Jeffrey S. Wild, 43, of 340 Whitestown Road, Harmony, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on South Main Street.
12:57 a.m. today — Michael Hilf, 46, of Cranberry Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.
8:04 a.m. Sunday — Matthew Sipe, 27, of Grove City lost control of his pickup after swerving to avoid a deer, causing the truck to hit a large rock, mail box and utility pole along Route 108 in Scott Township, Lawrence County.The crash broke the pole, sending the power lines onto the road. About one minute later, a church bus traveling by hit one of the low hanging lines, breaking its windshield. Ronald Claypool, 54, of Butler Township, the bus driver, and five passengers were not injured.Sipe also was uninjured; however, his pickup sustained extensive damage. Police cited Snyder for driving too fast for conditions.
