Bobbert

Richard C. Bobbert, 87, of Old Route 422, formerly of Huey, Clarion County, died Wed-nesday morning at his home after a long illness.

Born in Toby Township, Clarion County, May 25, 1919, he was the son of Harry and Verda Mae McGuire Bobbert.

He was a member of the Family Life Ministries of Butler.

Mr. Bobbert, a lifelong deep mine coal miner, had been an electrician for the deep mines at various coal mining operations in Clarion County and later worked at and retired from the Russellton area mines owned by LTV Steel.

He was an avid gardener. He loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren and was devoted to caring for his special cats, Rascal, Miss Kitty and Kelly.

Surviving are his wife, Dessie Hullihan Bobbert, whom he married April 3, 1943; three daughters, Arlene Thompson and her husband, Melvin, of Butler, Joanne Hughes and her husband, Jim, of Butler, and Lori Wolabaugh and her husband, Don, of New Oxford, Adams County; a son, Albert Lee Bobbert and his wife, Yvonne, of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Patti Myers, Gregory Hughes, Michele Palmer, Jason Thompson, Nicole Woltz and Joshua Wolabaugh; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by a brother, Albert L. Bobbert and his wife, Wanda, of Herman, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ricky Hughes; a sister, Loretta Reitz; and brothers, Jack, Clyde, Donald, Harry and Edward Bobbert.

<B>BOBBERT </B>— Friends of Richard C. Bobbert, who died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Wayne Street, Parker. Visitation also will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home where the funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the his son-in-law, Rev. Donald Wolabaugh, pastor of Harvest Chapel in New Oxford and the Rev. Donald Pflugh, pastor of New Life Ministries, co-officiating. Burial will be at the Perryville Cemetery, near Parker.
