Westbrook

Clyde Burton Westbrook, 78, of Brady Township died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at his home after a short illness.

Born in Earlsboro, Okla., July 14, 1928, he was the son of William Westbrook and Anna I. Bray.

He had been a union electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and retired in 1989.

Mr. Westbrook was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of West Sunbury American Legion.

He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are a daughter, Gayle I. Westbrook of Dover, Del.; six sons, Bruce E. Westbrook Sr. of Kenosha, Wis., Wayne W. Westbrook and his wife, Patty, Rock Creek, Ohio, Glenn C. Westbrook of Harrisville, Gary R. Westbrook and his wife, Barb, of Grove City, Jeff A. Westbrook of Boyers and Scott B. Westbrook of Viola, Del.; and a sister, Elsie Mae Jackman of Tulsa, Okla. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His wife, Lois Irene Bingham Westbrook, whom he married Jan. 5, 1951, died March 7, 1996. He also was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and two grandchildren.

<B>WESTBROOK </B>— A public memorial service for Clyde Burton Westbrook, who died Sunday, April 22, 2007, will be held at 1 p.m. May 12 at Slippery Rock United Methodist Church, Franklin Street, Slippery Rock, with the Rev.
