Artie Blanche "Blanchie" Stickles, 80, of Portersville died Monday at Ellwood City Hospital.

Born Aug. 13, 1926, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of Ned and Kittie Cumberledge.

Mrs. Stickles attended the Presbyterian Church of Portersville.

She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, canning vegetables and especially caring for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Everett L. Stickles, whom she married Oct. 8, 1948; three sons, Franklin A. Stickles and his wife, Diane, and Everett L. Stickles Jr. and his wife, Mary, all of Aliquippa, and Gerald E. Stickles and his wife, Ellen, of Harmony; a daughter, Opal Darlene McCowin and her husband, Frank, of Harmony; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Joseph) Trone, Joseph (Melissa) Stickles, Jackie, William, Stacy and Shannon Hope Stickles, Melissa Opal, Amy Jo and Frank McCowin Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Trone, Tyler and Lindsay Stickles, Madison Ambrose, Kyle, Haley, Tommie Ann and Tyler McCowin.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Nell Fox, Hazel Simpson and Mary Hoge.
