Duke

G. Louise Duke, 80, of Main Street, Emlenton, formerly of Fawn Township, Allegheny County, died at 3:58 a.m. Wednesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.

Born Jan. 27, 1927, in Clinton Township, she was the daughter of Russel J. and Genevieve Kirkwood Ruediger.

She was a 1945 graduate of West Winfield School in Cabot, and for the past several years, she worked at the Old Mill Antiques in Emlenton.

Mrs. Duke was a member of the New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church in Emlenton and the Ladies Fellowship of the church. She also was a member of the Emlenton Civic Club, president of the Emlenton Area Over-55 Club and a member of the Fawn Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in Allegheny County.

Surviving are her husband, Robert C. Duke, whom she married Aug. 8, 1947, at Westminster Church in Saxonburg; three children, Charles Duke and his wife, Joan, of Franklin, Darlene Johnson and her husband, Jerry, of Beaumont, Texas, and Brian Duke and his wife, Candy, of Emlenton; eight grandchildren, Amy Zuccolotto and husband, Anthony, of Freeport, James Duke and his wife, Paula, of Cabot, Rick Oliva of Beaumont, Lori Billiot and her husband, Marc, of Houston, Texas, Tami McGhee and her husband, Jason, of Katy, Texas, Tina Baker of Saxonburg, Jason Duke and his wife, Diane, of Renfrew and Justin Duke and his wife, Lauren, of Independence, Ky.; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She also is survived by three brothers, Wayne Ruediger and his wife, Twila, of Sarver, Ken Ruediger of South Carolina and Russ Ruediger of Cherry Valley; a sister, Virginia Helsel and her husband, Al, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy "Bud" Ruediger, and an infant grandson, Thomas Charles Duke.

<B>DUKE </B>— Friends of G. Louise Duke, who died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Hile Funeral Home</B>, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Campbell, her church pastor, officiating.
