Bell

Anita Mae Bell, 76, of Central Avenue, Chicora, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness.

Born in Fairview Township, March 19, 1931, she was a daughter of Charles W. and Nora Hope Byers Gamble.

She was a member of the Karns City United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Bell was a 1949 graduate of the Karns City High School and retired from the Butler Hospital Dietary Department in 1993 after 27 years.

She enjoyed reading, her doll collection and cats and other animals.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Hope Bell of Chicora; two brothers, Richard Gamble and his wife, Mary Belle, and Charles Gamble, all of Karns City; two sisters, June Marie Gamble of Karns City and Lois C. Staff and her husband, David, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Leslie, who died in 1939; an infant sister; and a nephew, John Michael Gamble, who died Feb. 7, 1992.

<B>BELL </B>— Private services for Anita Mae Bell, who died Monday, April 16, 2007, will be held Wednesday evening at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, Petrolia, with the Rev. Glea Foster, her church pastor, officiating.
